This smooth polished freeform cabochon of Cantera Opal or Mexican Fire Opal in matrix (= host stone rhyolite) originates from Magdalena, Mexico. It has a lovely vibrant orange color displaying an amazing glow in sunlight and only small areas of host stone.
This stunning Opal cabochon, size 1,7 x 1,36 cm, has been set here in a Sterling Silver bezel setting with 4 solid 14k Gold prongs holding the Opal in place.
